KDD Construction Successfully Completes Rope Quays Façade Remediation Project

KDD Construction Ltd is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Rope Quays façade remediation project, a major building safety and external wall remediation scheme delivered for Taylor Wimpey.
The project comprised extensive façade and fire compliance works across a 52-metre residential tower and two adjacent residential buildings, improving the fire performance and long-term durability of the external wall systems.
Working within a live residential environment, our team carefully coordinated all aspects of the project to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and resident consideration were maintained throughout the programme.
Scope of Works
The works included:
Full removal and replacement of existing brickwork façade systems
Installation of new Siderise cavity barriers throughout the building envelope
Installation of a Wetherby ventilated render system incorporating Rockwool insulation
Removal and replacement of existing cement particle board systems with OBEX Score & Snap Board
Installation of OBEX EPDM membrane and breather membrane systems
Cladding remediation works, including opening up existing cladding systems to replace fire barriers within concealed cavity zones
Associated fire stopping, weatherproofing and façade compliance upgrades
